The Playground Project
Currently, the over 1,200 students at Forestdale and Oak Ridge schools have no access to the playground structures on property - these playgrounds have been deemed unsafe. Our children are playing in the parking lots and open fields (when weather permits). They are missing out on crucial physical activity and building motor skills. Additionally, Adventure Playground is the only town playground in Sandwich and has several broken pieces, including some that have been duct taped to help avoid serious injuries. We need to replace these pieces so children can safely play. We are hosting a silent auction on Wednesday, May 25th from 6:30p-9:30p at the Sagamore Inn Pavilion. It will be a night of cocktails, silent auction and entertainment, and we’re asking for the community’s help. We’re partnering with the Sandwich Women’s Club on this fundraiser, and all proceeds will go directly to the playgrounds in Sandwich.
